Local families are being encouraged to take advantage of free child car seat safety checks now available across Orange and Cabonne — a simple step that could make a life-saving difference.
Delivered through the region’s Road Safety Program, qualified child restraint fitters will be visiting preschools and early learning centres from March through to May, offering on-the-spot inspections and adjustments at no cost.

During your visit, accredited fitters will:
- Check your car seat is right for your child’s age, height and weight
- Inspect installation and anchoring points
- Adjust or correct any issues on the spot
- Answer questions and provide practical guidance

Sessions are being held across Orange, Molong, Manildra, Canowindra and surrounding communities, with multiple dates running through to late May.
