Our 2024 Central West Mummy Awards was an afternoon overflowing with joy and heartwarming moments.
One of the most unforgettable highlights was having the incredible Ellie Cole, OAM with us. Ellie is a courageous and trailblazing woman who has achieved so much after building resilience from an early age—with her twin sister by her side as the ultimate companion through childhood adversity.
Ellie’s radiant smile, boundless energy, and determination to be anything but ‘less than’ shone through as she shared her story. She reminded us all that no matter the challenges or doubts, we can strive to rise above and make an extraordinary impact in our lives, careers, and communities.
Not only did Ellie inspire us with her words, but she was also so generous with her time—helping to present our Mummy Award trophies, taking photos, and engaging with every single guest. Ellie, we absolutely loved having you with us!
The event was a lively celebration of excellence, with music, delicious finger foods, and beverages enjoyed by winners, finalists, and their loved ones. Special recognition goes to our Prize Partner, VERTO, for donating stunning $350 gifts to each of the seven category winners.

Siobhan Kelledy, winner of Garden of the Year, shared:
“I was shocked when I won! My neighbour secretly entered me because she sees how much I love gardening. Winning felt surreal, especially knowing the incredible contributions of others in the room. It’s an honor to be part of such a wonderful initiative.”
Returning winner Tanya-Lee Holmes reflected on her meaningful journey:
“These awards are so special because I was nominated by veteran families I support. While the recognition is lovely, it’s about raising awareness of veterans’ challenges and promoting inclusion. The highlight for me? Having Ellie Cole OAM tell me I’m a high achiever—it’s a memory I’ll cherish forever!”
